Oscar-winning actress Renee Zellweger attended the 2014 Elle Women in Hollywood Celebration in Beverly Hills with her boyfriend, guitarist Doyle Bramhall II. They’ve been together since 2012 but you don’t see them out together often. Zellweger fans hope this relationship will last longer than when she dated Jack White of The White Stripes, and it’s already lasted longer than her marriage to singer Kenny Chesney – that lasted just four months.
Bramhall II is a blues guitarist from Texas, where Zellweger was born and raised. Bramhall’s father is the late Austin blues guitarist who played with Stevie Ray Vaughan. Doyle II has proved his has similar chops. He can play his instrument strung upside down. He can also play left-handed on a guitar strung for a right-handed player. He’s played with The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Roger Waters, Eric Clapton and Sheryl Crow, among others. He’s working on a Jimi Hendrix tribute album, and it looks like he’s also working on getting his afro has big as Jimi’s.
