On an Australian radio talk show, Academy Award winning actress Nicole Kidman (The Hours) admitted, “I hope every month that I’m pregnant… But I never am.” Kidman went on to say that she would be jumping for joy if it happens… but “I’m 47, it won’t happen.” But the woman married to country singer Keith Urban keeps the faith alive by revealing that her grandmother had her last baby at 49. The radio station has been promoting the interview on its website by describing Kidman as “clucky” — that’s Aussie slang for someone obsessed with babies and her biological clock.
Nicole Kidman is promoting her new film with fellow Oscar winner Colin Firth (The King’s Speech), Before I Go to Sleep. She plays Christine Lucas, a woman who wakes up every day not knowing where she is. Her memories disappear every time she falls asleep. Her memory loss is a result of a mysterious, traumatic accident in her past. Until one day, new truths emerge that have her questioning if her husband is to be trusted. Before I Go to Sleep is based on the debut novel by S.J. Watson – the film will open on Halloween.
