The coach of the University of Minnesota’s football team, Jerry Kill, wanted to make sure Black Widow rap singer Iggy Azalea feels welcome in the state of 10,000 Lakes. She’s performing at the TCF Bank Stadium this homecoming weekend. So Coach Kill sent her a signed white football inscribed “Go Gophers!”
Midwestern indie rock band Walk the Moon will open for Iggy at 8:30, then she takes the stage at 9pm. Tickets are $20 for U of M students for general admission. Chances are Azalea will wish Minnesota luck in the big game on Saturday, although they probably won’t need it. The Golden Gophers (5-1) face the Purdue Boilermakers (3-4).
