When a husband and a wife both face jail time, there’s bound to be some marital stress in the house. That’s exactly what Reality TV stars Teresa and Joe Giudice of Real Housewives of New Jersey are experiencing. Joe will serve his 41 months after Teresa serves her 15 months, beginning in January 2015. The couple has four daughters – ages 13, 10, 8 and 5.
According to a family insider who spoke with US Weekly, Teresa “expects [Joe] to step up and learn the girls’ schedules. But he hasn’t shown interest.” Regardless of the rising tension the Giudices will likely stay married. “Splitting up would cause the kids turmoil,” the friend said. “She [Teresa] wouldn’t bring them more harm.” Even when Joe called Teresa lots of nasty names including the c-word, on-camera, she didn’t turn her back on him. She wrote on her Bravo blog: “I begged Bravo not to air it [the scene when he called her the c-word], but when you sign up for a TV show, you sign up to show everything, warts and all. The good and the bad. Kind of like that other promise: for better or for worse. Welcome to the ‘worse.'”
