Martial artist and actor Chuck Norris of Walker, Texas Ranger fame is endorsing Republican gubernatorial candidate Greg Abbott. He made an appearance this week with Abbott at Snoopy’s Pier in Corpus Christi, just one week before Election Day, November 4. Abbott faces challenger, Democratic State Senator Wendy Davis, who is known for her filibuster on women’s rights.
Abbott’s campaign spokesman Avdiel Huerta said, “Together, they [Abbott and Norris] plan to give Texas voters a good roundhouse kick in the direction of their local polling places.” Norris is an outspoken Christian, avid supporter of the National Rifle Association and is against same-sex marriage.
