Chris Bosh reportedly hasn’t spoken to LeBron James since LeBron made his decision to become Governor of Ohio–wait, sorry–his decision to return to the Cleveland Cavaliers. Not a phone call, not even a text. Seems strange for these two towering pieces of the Miami’s erstwhile Big 3 to be incommunicado. (If true, it’s especially strange since they both attended Dwyane Wade’s wedding. The wedding was a big affair but it’s not like these two giants didn’t see each other.)
Bosh recently talked about how hungry he was during his time with LeBron, saying playing with the King was like getting an entree but no appetizer, dessert or drink. (“You just get your entree and that’s it. It’s like, wait a minute, I need my appetizer and my dessert and my drink, what are you doing? And my bread basket. What is going on? I’m hungry!”) James got the five-course meal while the others went hungry. (Maybe that’s why LeBron decided to lose so much weight this summer after he left Miami–he eaten all Chris Bosh’s food!) Bosh and James will meet for the first time as adversaries (since LeBron left) on Saturday in Brazil–part of an NBA showcase that promotes the league around the globe. Bosh will at times be matched up with James’ new starving partner, Kevin Love. Love, a superstar in Minnesota, will be the one begging LeBron for crumbs in Cleveland this year–taking Bosh’s place. Bosh told Ethan Skolnick at Bleacher Report that Love could expect to find the role “extremely difficult and extremely frustrating.”
