Grumpy Cat (aka Tardar Sauce) is the Internet feline celebrity known for her grumpy face which her owner says is caused by feline dwarfism. Grumpy Cat became popular in 2012 when her owner’s brother posted pics of Tardar Sauce with grumpy captions on Reddit. Grumpy Cat is now a media star, and yes, she is already represented by manager Ben Lashes.
Grumpy Cat fans buy all kinds of merchandise with her puss on it – t-shirts, calendars, mugs, and now plush toys are under development. There’s even a Grumpy Cat “Grumppuccino” iced coffee. Now Lifetime is making a movie entitled Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever. Tim Hill of The SpongeBob SquarePants Movie will direct. Aubrey Plaza who plays April the grumpy young woman on Parks and Recreation, will lend her voice to the cat. Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas Ever premieres November 29 at 8/7c.
