Real Housewives of New Jersey star Joe Gorga (husband of Melissa Gorga) made a $3.8 million lease-purchase agreement on his Montville mansion with a man named Kai Patterson. But Patterson didn’t pay all of the rent–he’s allegedly paid only $35k of the $50K that was due from April through August. Pattersonclaims he withheld the rent due to crucially needed repairs to the house including leaking pipes. Gorga, who’s still responsible for paying taxes on the property, wants Patterson out. Oh yeah, that “purchase” part of the lease-purchase? Not likely to happen.
The trial to determine whether Gorga has to start plumbing or whether he can look for another tenant is expected to conclude this week. But this isn’t the only court case on Gorga’s mind. His sister Teresa and her husband Joe, also stars of Real Housewives of New Jersey, will be sentenced in another New Jersey court on September 23 for bankruptcy and fraud charges.
