Modern Family star Sarah Hyland got a domestic violence temporary restraining order against her former boyfriend Matthew Prokop. She claims Prokop choked her and was abusive throughout their five year relationship.
According to Hyland, when she called off the relationship in August, Prokop “bombarded [her] with vile, threatening and emotionally disturbing texts and voicemails including his own suicide threats.” Documents filed by Hyland’s attorneys suggest that after Prokop’s stay in rehab last month, the facility suggested that she geta restraining order “due to his mental state.” Hyland and Prokop met in 2009 while auditioning for High School Musical 3: Senior Year. They starred together in Disney Channel’s Original Movie Geek Charming in 2011.
