Former Giants football player turned TV host Michael Strahan (Live! With Kelly and Michael) announced that he will make an appearance in the upcoming sequel Magic Mike XXL, starring Channing Tatum. Donald Glover and Elizabeth Banks have also recently joined the cast with Jada Pinkett Smith, Amber Heard, Andie McDowell and Gabriel Iglesias, among others.
Strahan confessed on Live! that he’s “getting ready to do something that’s making me really nervous.” The nervousness may be an act–Strahan has demonstrated his stripping moves before. On an earlier taping of Live!, when Channing Tatum came on to promote the first film, Magic Mike, Strahan “ripped his tearaway pants off and then gyrated on the stage floor.” Magic Mike XXL–in all its stripped down glory–will hit theaters July 1, 2015.
