The last time Barbra Streisand was on The Tonight Show was in 1963. Johnny Carson was in just his second year as host. On Monday, September 15, 2014 Streisand will be the one and only guest on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Fallon is known to sing with his talented guests — and Streisand’s new album is called Partners (duets with Billy Joel, John Legend, Blake Shelton, even Elvis), so she just might be brave enough to sing live with Fallon. Singing live isn’t for Babs’ favorite part of the job; she often gets a serious case of stage fright.
Besides his duets, Jimmy Fallon is known for his killer impersonations of singers including Bruce Springsteen, Neil Young and Eddie Vedder. Who doesn’t want to see and hear Babs singing “Born to Run” with The Boss or “Old Man” with Neil Young? Or maybe Fallon will go right to Streisand’s new album. We hear he does a pretty good Elvis.
