Trying to slice into a cold stick of butter isn’t easy or pleasant. Some compromise and take what they can get by slicing a layer from the top of the stick. But isn’t that layer too long and unwieldy? If your answer is yes, get ready. An Australian design firm, Design Momentum, has developed a solution to all your buttering glitches.
Move over, spork — the Stupendous Splendiferous Butterup is the ultimate in hybrid silverware. It’s half butter knife, half grater. Spread it across a stick of butter and watch the serrated edge cut through that hard butter and produce thin ribbons of yumminess. Design Momentum hopes to sell them for $15, but first they’re looking for some investors. They’re raising funds on Kickstarter until September 2, 2014.
