The Premier League season begins on August 16–and it may be the best one yet. The Premier League is broadcast in 212 territories by 80 different broadcasters. In the US that means NBC and NBCSN, which will show all 130 matches during the first three months of the season on at least one viewing platform.
The Premier League’s cumulative TV audience around the world is 4.7 billion, plus a few million people who watch the games at the incredibly loud and raucous stadiums. Each season brings more than 185,000 hours of TV coverage. 20 teams, including some of the most famous names in global sports–Manchester United, Arsenal, Liverpool, Everton–compete for the prize.
