The popular crime drama TV series The Blacklist stars everyone’s favorite bad guy James Spader. Not only is the show getting a second season on NBC but an episode will also air in the coveted post-Super Bowl timeslot on February 1, 2015. Mary-Louise Parker (Weeds) will be joining Spader in a recurring role as Naomi Highland.
Spader plays one of the FBI’s most wanted fugitives Raymond “Red” Reddington who suddenly (suspiciously!) surrenders to the FBI under one condition—that he work with rookie FBI profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone). Red “will manipulate, kill, flatter, scare, flirt, joke to get what he wants, namely the trust and affection of” Keen. Rumors are flying that Red is her father. Could Parker be her mother?
