Hewlett-Packard commissioned menswear fashion designer Michael Bastian to design their new smartwatch. It won’t be available until Fall 2014 — exclusively through online luxury retailer Gilt — but a sneak peak of the high-tech accessory has been leaked. Slick with a 44mm circular face, the yet-to-be-named HP smartwatch will come with a choice of brown leather, black rubber and green nylon straps. It’ll work with Android and iOS so you can retrieve emails, texts, sports and weather updates, right there on your wrist.
Bastian’s label, Michael Bastian for GANT, has been described as a “combination of preppy, military, athletic.” His Fall 2013 Gant collection, “Stockbridge,” was inspired by the paintings of Norman Rockwell. GQ says that “Bastian, like Rockwell, has turned elements of the American everyman into something iconic.”
