Planet Minecraft invited players to build a world above the clouds on its Floating Island map. 205 entries were submitted to the ‘Head Into the Clouds‘ contest. That’s not a lot considering there are over 1.5 million Planet Minecraft members but the quality of most the entries is amazing. Nine longstanding Planet Minecraft members–Lightbane1900, Sunfury, Vadact, Jetra, AyreTV, SilverLeopard101, Gazamo, iRapp, and Zeranny — will judge the entries. They’ll be looking at concept and originality, technique and execution, and presentation and experience. They’re going to find a lot of all of it.
Winners will be announced on August 5, 2014. First place wins $60 worth of Steam Games and a Gold Pixel Art Trophy (Second Place wins $30 worth of games and a Silver Trophy; Third Place $20 worth of games and a Bronze Trophy). All three winning entries will be featured on PMC for one week.
