Jennifer Lopez is taking a page out of Nicki Minaj’s playbook, which Minaj stole from J.Lo in the first place. Minaj posted an explicit photo of herself crouched down wearing a g-string just days before releasing her single Anaconda. This week Lopez posted a pic of her own famous backside to promote her upcoming single Booty. The track includes such poignant lyrics as: “Big, big booty / What you got a big booty (Work) / Big, big booty / What you got a big booty (Shake that).”
Booty is the third single to be released from J.Lo’s eighth studio album A.K.A. which came out in June. The album sold about 30,000 copies in its first week –that’s not good. But Lopez doesn’t seem to mind. During an interview with Power 105.1 FM, she said she believes the album will eventually find an audience. “At a certain point in your career there’s a reinvention that has to go on but you’re in it for a marathon,” she explained. “There are singles that are going to come out over the course of the next six months.” Lopez has another four months to promote the hell out of it. And she’s recently enlisted Iggy Azalea to help. You’ll be seeing a lot them as they promote their duet Acting Like That, the fifth track on A.K.A. It’ll be cheeky, you can bet.
