Want a satisfying breakfast that’s ready when you are? Make a breakfast chia & oat bowl before you go to bed, let it soften in the fridge overnight–and this healthy dish is ready to eat upon rising. Chia seeds are a source of essential fatty acids (even more so than salmon). Chia Seeds are considered a complete protein, with calcium, potassium and fiber providing hours of energy. It may be the easiest thing you can make–and way better than pouring a bowl of cereal from a box!
Breakfast Chia & Oats pudding:
1 cup milk (can substitute with almond, soy or hemp milk)
1/4 cup whole chia seeds
1/4 cup rolled oats
1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
1/4 cup of your favorite berries ( blueberries, strawberries, blackberries)
1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
In a bowl mix together all ingredients except the berries. Put in the fridge, this lets the oats and chia seeds soften and absorb the milk overnight. In the AM, voila! Add the berries and go!
