Singer Nicki Minaj is promoting her upcoming single “Anaconda” with one image. It’s a photograph of Minaj exposing her bottom as she squats provocatively, wearing a bikini top and g-string. The single will be available on iTunes July 28. A video is on its way, too (by Colin Tilley, who also directed Minaj in “I Am Your Leader.”)
There’s been speculation that Minaj’s influence has become so powerful that people are beginning to imagine things based on her latest social media campaign. Recently at least three people have reported seeing a 16-foot-long Anaconda around New Jersey’s largest lake, Lake Hopatcong, about 30 miles northwest of Newark. Wildlife experts have as yet found no evidence that such an exotic snake is in the area (no signs of droppings or skin) so the state has stopped looking for the reptile. Minaj has 17.8 million Twitter followers–more than three live in New Jersey.
