Rumors abound that Jim Parsons of The Big Bang Theory is leaving the CBS hit show–and that he’s expected to win an Emmy. Emmy or not, Parsons is tapping into his inner Sheldon, his Big Bang character’s inner geekiness, to pursue other projects including the animation film Home. Parson lends his voice to Oh, an alien on Earth who’s looking for a safe place to call home with the help of tough, saucy teenager Tip–voiced by Rihanna. Parsons also stars in the HBO adaptation of The Normal Heart, Larry Kramer’s devastating play about the AIDS epidemic. It’s a show where the idea of home is always far away.
The real Rihanna did find a safer place to call home. After being stalked in her old Pacific Palisades home, she’s found comfort in a New York City rental ($39k/month). In real life Parsons and his partner Todd Spiewak are doing alright, too, in Twilight star Robert Pattinson’s old place. And unlike Rihanna, they’re not renters: they bought the Los Feliz spread for just under $7m. While recording Home, we hope Rihanna picked up some acting and financial tips from Parsons.
