When not on the pitch at the FIFA 2023 World Cup tournament in Australia or New Zealand, professional soccer player Trinity Rodman on Team USA (#20) spends time with her boyfriend, the Loyola Greyhounds basketball player Chris Kuzemka (class of 2025, photos below) whom she calls “the love of my life.”
With the video below, Rodman, the 20-year-old forward from Laguna Niguel, California who plays for Washington Spirit (and is the daughter of NBA legend Dennis Rodman), writes to Kuzemka: “I’m so happy that it is your golden birthday but also my very first World Cup gameday with u by my side LITERALLY. My actual angel I love you.”

Trinity Rodman’s teammates including defender Kelley O’Hara (#5) gushed with compliments (“Cutiessss”) but more than one male fan voiced their disappointment. As one replied: “This broke my heart” with a broken heart emoji. Another chimed in: “didn’t need to see this” with another broken heart emoji.
Fun family fact: Chris Kuzemka’s brother, Daniel Kuzemka, is the goalkeeper for Charleston Battery, a member of the USL (United Soccer League).
