Country pop star Maren Morris became a household name in 2016 when she released her hit song, ‘My Church,’ which reached No. 1 on the Billboard Country Airplay chart. The song, which is featured on her debut studio album, Hero, earned her a Grammy Award for Best Country Solo Performance.
Since then, the Texas native has released two additional albums including her most recent, Humble Quest (2022), which received three nominations at the 2023 Grammy Awards, including for Best Country Album, while the lead single “Circles Around This Town” was nominated for Best Country Song and Best Country Solo Performance.
When not in the studio or turning heads on a red carpet (see above), Morris is often on stage performing. For the MerleFest, an annual music festival in North Carolina held in honor of the late Eddy Merle Watson, Morris rocked a yellow vest (without a bra) and matching tiny shorts, as seen above and below. (Don’t miss slide #3.)
She captioned the photos above: “Yellow for a bluegrass dream.”
Morris’s fans are going wild over the look and her performance at the live event. As one fan replied: “She killed it.”
Note: MerleFest was founded in 1988 and serves as a fundraiser for Wilkes Community College and to celebrate ‘traditional plus’ music. Tanya Tucker and Little Feat were among the other talent to perform at the festival.
