Get ready to see more of country music star Reba McEntire. The Queen of Country is continuing her ‘Reba: Live in Concert’ tour and she just played New York City’s Madison Square Garden for the very first time.
For the big arena event, the Oklahoma native stunned in a green bustier under a sheer green lace blouse with bell sleeves — and a pair of tight blue jeans. Her fans are going wild over the look. More than one replied, “Gorgeous!”
McEntire is singing fan favorites and songs from her most recent album (her 32nd!), Stronger Than the Truth, which was nominated for Best Country Album at the 62nd Annual Grammy Awards. She described the album as “the most country album I’ve ever recorded.”
Rating it 4 out of 5 stars, Stephen Thomas Erlewine of AllMusic called it a “pure, unadorned country album” and “flinty even when it’s tender.”
When McEntire isn’t singing on stage or recording in the studio, she’s often acting (Big Sky, Young Sheldon). Fans were hoping to see her in the NBC series Fried Green Tomatoes, based on the 1991 movie starring Kathy Bates, Jessica Tandy, Mary Stuart Masterson, Mary-Louise Parker and Cicely Tyson, which is based on the 1987 novel Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe. But McEntire reports that the show “just kinda went away, unfortunately.”
