Hollywood movie star Jennifer Garner is known for her roles in Alias, and more recently in movies in which she plays a suburban mom — Juno, The Adam Project, Alexander and the Terrible, Horrible, No Good, Very Bad Day, and Yes Day, among others.
Get ready to see more of Garner as a wife and mother of two in the upcoming Netflix comedy Family Leave. Directed by McG (above with Garner), and based on the children’s book Bedtime for Mommy by the late Amy Krouse Rosenthal (Yes Day), Family Leave tells the story of the Walkers (Ed Helms plays Garner’s husband) who wake up to a full family body switch.
When they realize the same thing has happened to another family (on the other side of the world), they must find the strangers and figure out how to undo the body switch.
As seen in the photos and video above from the set (be sure to swipe!), Garner’s character, Jess Walker, switches bodies with a man (she wears a traditional men’s blazer and tie, post-switch).
When Garner’s 13 Going on 30 co-star Mark Ruffalo saw the photo above of Garner with Helms, he replied: “Looks like you both are having a merry ole time!” And Helms’ The Office co-star Angela Kinsey dropped a series of red heart emojis.
Director McG says Garner “blows up on the screen.” Check her out above with King Bach on the first day of filming.
