On Season 14 of Shark Tank, an entrepreneur from San Francisco, CA, Winston Mok, pitches his indoor air quality improvement business Woosh. Mok designed the smart air purifier after the 2018 forest fires in California.

Woosh is disrupting the air filter sector with an innovative design (it’s foldable and easy to ship) coupled with smart filter tracking so customers can monitor its effectiveness and be reminded of when the filters need to be changed.
Earlier this year, prior to the Shark Tank episode, Woosh hired Mark Dodd as its Head of IoT (in blue hat, above). Dodd left Amazon where he was Senior Software Developer Engineer and led teams developing the offline Alexa.
When Dodd shared the photo above from the Shark Tank set, Mok replied: “good times driving down to the studio with our display. I guess we’ll have to do it again soon!” Dodd replied: “We won’t even need Google Maps, we know the route by heart!”
New episodes of Shark Tank air Fridays at 8 pm on ABC, right before 20/20 at 9 pm. [BONUS: Stream any ABC show through the ABC GO Digital App found here. Download is FREE.]
