In The Equalizer episode ‘Gaslight,’ when a widowed single mother named Evelyn Weber claims her dead husband is attempting to kill her from beyond the grave, McCall (Queen Latifah) and the team help uncover the truth. Evelyn is portrayed by actress/singer Elizabeth Stanley.
Stanley made her debut on Broadway in the 2006 revival of Stephen Sondheim’s Company (April).
She’s also known for her roles in Cry-Baby (Allison), Xanadu (Clio), and Jagged Little Pill (Mary Jane “MJ” Healy), for which Stanley was nominated for a Tony Award (Best Actress in a Musical) and won a Grammy Award (Best Musical Theater Album).
The Equalizer airs Sundays at 8 pm on CBS, right before the new crime drama East New York at 9 pm.
