On Season 13 of Shark Tank, entrepreneur Dinesh Tadepalli from Apex, North Carolina, pitches his product Incredible Eats. It’s an edible spoon “designed to reduce single-use plastics in an effort to help preserve the world’s oceans.” Incredible Eats spoons are made from a mix of wheat, oats, corn, chickpeas and brown rice, and come in vanilla and chocolate flavors. The spoons can be used with warm food (including hot soup) or cold food (including ice cream)!
Dinesh has the good fortune of pitching in front of Sharks Barbara Corcoran and Mark Cuban, both of whom invested in Loliware, a company that makes edible, biodegradable flavored cups and straws.
According to the IncrEDIBLE Eats website: edible chopsticks are in the works and will be available by next summer and straws in the fall!
