NBA superstar Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors has no fear on the court. But Curry took his faith to a new level in this video with legendary golf champion Phil Mickelson hit a golf ball directly at (and over) him — from no more than six feet away!
Curry is a great golfer himself, but this is one trick he wouldn’t try using another human being. Mickelson’s confidence that he’ll never make a mistake is amazing! Just like Curry’s trust!
Mickelson teased Curry a bit, noting that the 2x NBA MVP was “a little taller than my normal test subjects.” (Mickelson has hit his famous “flop shot” over many test subjects over the years.) Curry admitted afterward that his “heart skpped a beat.” But you can’t tell by looking at him. Same ice in his veins as when he’s draining three-pointers in the NBA FINALS.
Curry and Mickelson were playing for charity in the Workday Charity Classic. When Steph isn’t playing with the likes of Phil, he likes to tee it up with family, like brother Seth– also an NBA star — and dad Dell, the original Curry in an NBA uniform. Save to say he doesn’t let either of these guys, despite the love, hit the golf ball right at him!
But there is the matter of that other game Steph is pretty good at — BASKETBALL. And the Golden State Warriors and Steph Curry welcome back Steph’s great protector and all-intangibles superstar Andre Iguodala for the 2021-22 season. Let’s go!
