Los Angeles Lakers shooter Kyle Kuzma was feeling it after a big night in the bubble against the Denver Nuggets. And Kuz’s confidence was something any true Denver Nugget could understand — because Kuz, like Denver itself, was a mile high after going 11/16 from the field including 60% from three-point territory.
But even Lakers and NBA legend Shaquille O’Neal — who has heard and seen just about everything — was surprised by Kuzma’s choice of words after the current Laker’s shooting barrage.
Asked how he felt afterwards, Kuzma confidently said: “I think Jesus could be in front of me, and I would probably still shoot it.”
Shaq replied with equal parts humor and reality check, as usual, when he chuckled and said: “I seen Jesus play before and hopefully Jesus gonna shut his ass down the next game.”
