The GOAT debate gets fans pretty riled up in every sport. But it’s hardly ever hotter than it is today in hoops, where it’s mostly about whether the Greatest of All Time crown belongs to Michael Jordan or LeBron James. (Debate note: Bill Russell, Magic, Kareem, Wilt, Doc, Bird, Kobe — for now they all seem to be vying for third.)
But he generational difference means the GOAT title can never really be decided. Jordan retired from the NBA when LeBron James was 9 years old.
But in the video above, LeBron reveals not only what Jordan meant to him as a young kid…King James also tells about how he played on Air Jordan’s team in Santa Barbara once — and reports “we didn’t lose a game.” (second swipe)
