Press Waffle Co. is a Dallas-based restaurant chain that makes caramelized Liege-style Belgian waffles. The two entrepreneurs behind the company, brothers Bryan and Caleb Lewis, pitched their business on Shark Tank in March 2019.
They had the advantage of pitching in front of Barbara Corcoran, who famously and successfully invested in grilled cheese restaurant chain Tom + Chee and Cousins Maine Lobster. The real estate maven from New York City invested $300,000 in Press Waffle Co. for 15 percent equity.
Since appearing on Shark Tank, Press Waffle Co. has initiated its franchise program, opened its first spot outside of Texas (in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma), and (according to the fun TV interview below) the company is opening two or three more places in Houston.
