Johnny Depp has inhabited plenty of unusual creatures on film, including his world-beating Keith Richards manque pirate Jack Sparrow. But none was as great at creative destruction as the singular Edward Scissorhands.
Maybe that’s why NBA King LeBron James embodied Scissorhands for Halloween — he’s trying to slice up the league every night but he still has a sensitive soul. He’s the “Kid from Akron” as much as he’s the “superstar in LA.”
James is certainly in Hollywood though now, because this costume is the bomb! NBA All-Star and LeBron pal Kevin Love is among the celebs, along with Jamie Foxx, who noted LeBron was “killing it.” But one non-celeb fan did correctly point out that there’s quite a bit of Oompa Loompa in LeBron’s get-up! “Boy you look like a Oompa Loompa on Bad Hair Day.”
