Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry remembered her late father on Father’s Day by sharing one of only two photos she has of him. She took a picture of the old photo with her thumb deliberately covering the face of a man standing next to her father. Who the other, covered-up man is remains a mystery.
Berry explains that she “didn’t have much of a relationship with him while he was here, as he was alcohol addicted and that addiction robbed us of the relationship we were meant to have.” However, as a mother of two, she says she now understands “how much he loved me and how vital he was and is to my life!” Berry makes sure to wish the fathers in her life — including her ex-husband French film actor Olivier Martinez and ex-partner Canadian model Gabriel Aubrey — a Happy Father’s Day.
Berry is currently promoting her latest film with Keanu Reeves, John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum.
