Gary Woodland is leading the pack at the U.S. Open at Pebble Beach. Born and raised in Kansas, Woodland went to Washburn University on a basketball scholarship but left after his first year to go to the University of Kansas on a golf scholarship. He turned pro in 2007. Four years later, Woodland won his first PGA Tour title at the Transitions Championship by one stroke. (Webb Simpson missed a par putt on the final hole.)
Woodland’s number one cheerleader is his gorgeous wife Gabby (nee Granado) Woodland. Woodland, known as one of the longest hitters on tour, considers his wife “definitely the biggest win of my life.” The handsome couple got married in 2016 on the beach at Amanyara, a luxury resort in Turks & Caicos.
