The new reality TV show The Toe Bro stars Dr. Jonathan Tomines, a real-life chiropodist (a foot specialist) in Toronto, Canada. The most common problem he sees and deals with is ingrown toenails. He explains “It’s easy to happen. You either wear tight shoes or you don’t cut your nails properly.” The most embarrassing problem that patients don’t like to talk about are fungal toenails. He says, “There are some things that are so gross, you can’t turn away.”

If that introduction didn’t turn you off, turn in to the Season 1 finale episode of The Toe Bro, “Reptile Skin.” The Toe Bro helps a nurse to say good-bye forever to her crazy-thick claw, and a fashionista to walk more comfortably in her high heels. But perhaps the most endearing patient is a grandma who wants to kick her “nasty” feet to the curb so she can have more fun with her grandchildren. She admits not many people have seen her toes. Dr. Tomines assures her, “You know what they say? Tough nails, tough girl.” She likes that. After her appointment, the grandma says, “I feet like they’re smiling now.” Awww! The Toe Bro airs Tuesdays at 10 pm on A&E.
