In The Simpsons episode “Bart Vs. Itchy & Scratchy,” Krusty releases an all-female reboot of “Itchy and Scratchy,” so Bart and his crew of all-male friends decide to boycott the show. After Bart’s friends turn on him for laughing at the reboot, Bart joins a woke group of sixth-grade girls including pink-haired Carmen who commit crimes against patriarchy.

Carmen is voiced by Awkwafina. As an actress, the 30-year-old New Yorker (born Nora Lum) is best known for her roles in Crazy Rich Asians (college friend Peik Lin Goh), Ocean’s 8 (Constance), and Neighbors 2: Sorority Rising (Christine), among others. As a rapper, she’s best known for her 2012 song “My Vag,” which was a response to rapper Mickey Avalon’s song “My Dick.” In October 2018, Awkwafina hosted Saturday Night Live (see below). She will appear next on the big screen in the Jumanji sequel with Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Kevin Hart. The Simpsons airs Sundays at 8 pm on FOX.
