The protagonist of the Lifetime movie Deadly Match is 19-year-old college student Trina (Alyssa Lynch). To pay for tuition, she launches a dating website called Let’s Date which blows up into a huge success. But when Trina finds out the site is being used as a prostitution hub, she shuts it down. Things get crazy when one of the dating users is murdered. When Trina starts nosing around for clues, she meets some bad people. Luckily, Trina has Professor Savoy to turn to for help. Professor Savoy is portrayed by actress Tatyana Ali. She’s known for her roles on Fly (Capt. Bess Davenport), Love That Girl! (Tyana Jones), The Young and the Restless (Roxanne), Second Generation Wayans (Maya), and The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Ashley Banks), among others. Fun fact: The Harvard grad met her husband Vaughn Rasberry, an associate professor of English at Stanford, on the dating website eHarmony. They married in 2016 and have one son.
