Living Christmas Company delivers potted Christmas trees to customers before the holidays. And when the holidays are over, the company will pick the tree and “return it to the North Pole” where it can continue to grow for future holidays and generations. (North Pole is code for a tree nursery in California.) The founder of Living Christmas Company, Scott Martin aka Scotty Klaus, pitched his eco-friendly business on Shark Tank in December 2012. He went into the Tank seeking an investment of $150,000 in exchange for 30 percent equity. He made a deal with billionaire Mark Cuban — $150k for 40 percent.
