In the Lifetime movie Lethal Soccer Mom, teenager Cameron (Sarah Grey, Young Norma on Bates Motel) moves to a new high school. She was captain of her previous soccer team but her new coach, coach Rhonda (Christina Cox, Shadowhunters), took her off her starting spot. When Cameron’s mother Kate (Tanya Clarke, Banshee) asks Coach Rhonda why, she replies, “I don’t have to justify my coaching decisions to you.” Cameron and her mom have no idea who they’re dealing with. Rhonda will do anything to physically stop Cameron from walking on the field.

In one scene, Cameron gets a blow to the legs similar to the attack on American Olympic figure skater Nancy Kerrigan in 1994. Kerrigan was attacked with a police baton by an assailant hired by the ex-husband of her rival Tonya Harding — see I, TONYA movie link above. Lethal Soccer Mom premieres on Lifetime on Friday, August 31 at 8pm.
