90 Day Fiancé: Before the 90 Days is back for Season 2 and the show is still heartbreaking to watch. A number of Americans drop everything and travel around the world seeking “true love.” Single mom Rachel brings her 8-month-old daughter Lucy to meet a man named John who already views Lucy as his daughter, and single dad Ricky leaves Columbus, Ohio to meet the mysterious Melissa in Colombia.
Ricky is such a nice guy — so when he doesn’t see the signs of catfishing it’s even more heartbreaking. The 33-year-old photographer wants to be good role model for his daughters including Amber, 12, who lives with him full-time — but she shows more wisdom than Ricky at times. When he told Melissa he wanted to video chat with her, it never happened. Now he’s flying down to Colombia with the intention of proposing to her. Amber is surprised to hear that. She says if Melissa were to move in with them, “it would take a year or so to get used to.” Only if Ricky would be so patient! 90 Day Fiance: Before the 90 Days airs Sundays at 8pm on TLC.
