Sealed by Santa is a business that delivers customized letters to children from Santa Claus. A Sealed by Santa package also comes with two videos from Santa and a phone call from old Saint Nick. The entrepreneur behind Sealed by Santa, Sarah Blain, pitched her holiday business on Shark Tank in December 2016. She went into the Tank seeking an investment of $150,000 in exchange for 20 percent equity. Blain received three offers — from Kevin O’Leary, Robert Herjavec and Lori Greiner. Blain accepted Greiner’s deal: $150,000 for 22.5 percent ($75,000 of which is a loan).
On Shark Tank, Blain mentioned expanding the business to include letters from the Easter Bunny. There are now three different Easter Bunny “egg” packages to choose from ($7.95 bronze, $15.95 silver and $24.95 gold). All include a personalized letter from the Easter Bunny. Blain has also followed through on the Tooth Fairy. There are now three different Pixie packages to choose from and the Ultimate Parent Pack ($54.95) because the Tooth Fairy’s going to come to your house more than once and you never know when!
