America will meet the four new talented contestants of The Four: The Battle to Stardom on Thursday, June 7. For most of them, this will be the first time they’re meeting the creator of the show and judge Sean “Diddy” Combs. That’s not the case for contestant Sharaya J. The emerging rapper is also a hip hop dancer who’s performed with many celebrities including Diddy. It’s one of many advantages the 34-year-old artist from Jersey City, New Jersey brings to the competition.

- Stage presence: Sharaya J is also a choreographer and has serious moves – she was a dancer for the movies Step Up 2: The Streets and Step Up 3D.
- Beauty: She was an ambassador for Alexander Wang’s T by Alexander Wang campaign
- Good genes: Her father was a member of the 90s hip hop group Double XX Posse.
- Smarts: After leaving Missy Elliott’s label The Goldmind in 2016, Sharaja J launched her own production company, Banji Entertainment in Brooklyn.
