The premise of the new ABC series Take Two is an intriguing one. A young and attractive actress named Sam Swift was the star of a hit cop series who had a breakdown. Not a little private meltdown but an epic one that has been broadcast to the public. After recovering in rehab, Sam tries to get back on the horse. But this time, she wants to do her homework. She finds Eddie Valetick (Eddie Cibrian), a private investigator who’s willing to let her follow him. Turns out, Sam might have missed her true calling – as a private eye. If Take Two reminds you of Castle, and the dynamic between celebrity crime novelist Rick Castle and NYPD Detective Kate Beckett, you’re not alone!
On Take Two, Sam Swift is portrayed by Rachel Bilson. Bilson is known for her roles on Nashville (Alyssa Greene), Hart of Dixie (Dr. Zoe Hart), How I Met Your Mother (Cindy), and The O.C. (Summer Roberts), among others. An Los Angeles native, Bilson grew up in a show business family, with her father Danny Bilson being a writer, director and producer. Take Two airs Thursdays at 10pm on ABC.
