In The Real Housewives of Potomac episode “Rsvplease!,” while new wife Candiace Dillard tells her mother she should give her control of the family business, Ashley Darby is asked to sign a new pre-nuptial agreement. When Ashley comes to her husband Michael’s office, he’s on the phone and his hoverboard. He ends the calls but stays on the hoverboard. Michael tells Ashley she looks very nice and she says she’s trying to look nice for him as “we’re getting back to our lovey-dovey selves.” When Ashley says, “I like where we’re going now,” Michael pivots to talk about their pre-nuptial agreement. Ashley explains that she signed their original pre-nup without a lawyer. It basically says if they were to divorce before the 3-year mark, she’d get a lump sum of money. Now, Michael wants to extend the pre-nup agreement to 5 years.

Once again, Ashley agrees to sign the legal document without a lawyer. She says if it helps her husband and his confidence in their marriage, then she’ll do it. Ashley also explained that in this agreement, if they divorce after the 5-year mark, she’d get more — she’d get half. The Real Housewives of Potomac airs Sundays at 8pm on Bravo.
