In the Season 6 premiere episode of Elementary, “An Infinite Capacity for Taking Pains,” Sherlock Holmes (Jonny Lee Miller) receives a medical diagnosis that “threatens both his career and sobriety.” When not busy solving a sex tape crime with Joan Watson (Lucy Liu), Holmes meets Michael at a N.A. meeting. Michael gives Sherlock credit for helping him kick his own addiction. Now Michael wants to pay back Sherlock by helping him in his time of need.

Sherlock’s “friend” and recovering addict Michael on Elementary is portrayed by Desmond Harrington. Harrington is known for his roles on Sneaky Pete (Joe), Shooter (Lon Scott), Limitless (FBI Agent Casey Rooks), The Astronaut Wives Club (Alan Shepard), Dexter (Det. Joey Quinn), Gossip Girl (Jack Bass, see photo below), Rescue Me (Troy), Sons & Daughters (Wylie Blake), and Dragnet (Det. Jimmy McCarron), among others. Elementary airs Mondays at 10pm on CBS, right after Superior Donuts.
