On the season finale of Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, “The Runaway Runway,” before Dorit Kemsley’s swimsuit fashion show, Kyle Richards invites the ladies to her home to watch American Woman. It’s a TV series inspired by Kyle’s childhood. Alicia Silverstone (Clueless) stars as Bonnie, a mother of two girls who’s leaving her husband in the 1970s. Mena Suvari (American Beauty) plays Bonnie’s best friend Kathleen.

The dramedy American Woman will premiere on June 7, 2018 on Paramount Network. The series was created by John Wells (China Beach, ER, The West Wing, Shameless) and John Riggi, who wrote the script. Riggi, the Emmy Award-winning 30 Rock alum, left the series citing creative differences. Wells is now the showrunner and executive producer with Kyle Richards. There are 12 episodes (30 minutes each) in the first season of American Woman. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills airs Tuesdays at 9pm on Bravo.
