After a two year break, American Idol is back on TV (it moved from Fox to ABC). There will be the perfect combination of celebrities (this year’s judges are Katy Perry, Lionel Richie and Luke Bryan) mingling with not-yet-famous aspiring singers. Now that American Idol is airing on ABC, get ready for a hint of Disney magic on the show, and a couple of surprising guests including Bobby Bones.
[Bobby Bones’ memoir Bare Bones: I’m Not Lonely If You’re Reading This Book]
Born Bobby Estell in Arkansas, the 37-year-old stand-up comedian and radio host is known for steering the popular country music show The Bobby Bones Show, The Country Top 30 Weekend Countdown, and the iHeartRadio podcast A Bunch of Friends. His friend Luke Bryan had something to do with Bones’ appearance on American Idol (see photo below). Could Bobby Bones be related to Nico Bones, the young punk singer auditioning on Idol?! American Idol airs Sundays at 8pm on ABC.
