In the NCIS episode “Keep Your Enemies Closer,” one of Agent McGee’s (Mark Harmon) worst nightmares comes true. In order to get information to convict serial killer Gabriel Hicks (Graham Hamilton), McGee has to let convicted murderer Paul Triff (Hicks’ former cellmate) into McGee’s home. Remember, Triff used to live there. (In the March 2017 NCIS episode “What Lies Above”, Triff had someone break into McGee’s apartment for a valuable item that he had hidden; see link below.) During a painful 48-hour furlough at McGee’s (of course Deliah and the twins are sent away!), Triff is kept in a cage but knows how to rattle McGee’s chain. In this episode, McGee once again works with Fornell (Joe Spano).

Paul Triff is portrayed by French Stewart. He’s known for his roles on The Middle (Principal Cameron), Secrets and Lies (John Patrick), Mom (Chef Rudy), 3rd Rock from the Sun (Harry Solomon, photo below), and The New WKRP in Cincinnati (spaced-out DJ Razor Dee), among others. NCIS airs Tuesdays at 8pm on CBS, right before Bull.
