Petrol is a vitamin-enhanced water designed specifically for dogs. Or as the product packaging says, “a hydrating dog treat.” Petrol is made of 100 percent all-natural flavoring and includes six vitamins that are good for dogs. And each 12 fl.oz. bottle is just 8 calories. The founders of Petrol Fuel for Dogs, Julie Yenichek and Ryan Huyghe, are pitching their business on Shark Tank on January 28. They are seeking a $150,000 investment in exchange for 20 percent equity.
For their Shark Tank presentation they have an agile Shih Tzu come in and run an obstacle course before lapping up the Petrol. Guest shark and beverage marketing guru Rohan Oza asks, “Is Rocco (the dog) thirsty or is the product that good?” Julie responds quickly, “Dogs lap it four to one over regular water.” Prior to the Shark Tank episode airing, Petrol announced it is sold out of product.
