In the Hell’s Kitchen episode “Stars Heating Up Hell,” the all-stars don’t cook. Their challenge is more difficult. They have to instruct others (not cooks but professional athletes!) how to cook their signature dishes. They can only give verbal instructions. Milly is paired with former NFL player Ricky Williams; Robyn with former NBA star Reggie Miller; Ben with former NFL Player Shawne Merriman; Michelle with WNBA star Candice Park; and Nick with retired gymnast Jordyn Wieber.
Wieber is known for being a part of the Fierce Five U.S. gymnastics team at the 2012 Summer Olympics, with Aly Raisman, Gabby Douglas, McKayla Maroney, and Kyla Ross. In 2015, Wieber was the first of the Fierce Five to retire from elite gymnastics. Hours before the taped Hell’s Kitchen episode airs, a courageous Wieber testified against the former Team USA physician Larry Nassar, who pleaded guilty to sexually assaulted dozens of young athletes for years. Today, January 19, Wieber delivered a victim impact statement in a court in Michigan. It was the first time Wieber publicly revealed the abuse, which Maroney and others have also testified about. Hell’s Kitchen airs Fridays at 8pm on FOX.
